Hand Washing.
 
Hand washing may be you single most important act to help stop the spread of infection and stay healthy.
 
Scientests estimate that people are not washing their hands often or well enough and may transmit up to 80% of all infections by their hands.  From doorknobs to aminals to food, harmful germs can live on almost everything.
 
Direction for Hand Washing:
 ...Wet hands with running water
....Place soap into palms
....Rub together to make a lather
....Scrub hands vigorously for 20 seconds
....Rinse off hands
....Dry hands
 
When to Wash Hands
....Before eating
....Before preparing foods
....After removing soiled clothes or shoes
....After blowing or wiping your nose with a tissue
....After covering mouth for cough or sneeze
....After touching burns, cuts, or sores
....After playing with pets
....After being around someone who is sick
....After using the toilet
 
Antibacterial and alcohhal based gels for killing bacteris can be used when you can't get to soap and water.  You can carry the gel in your purse or use the towlette packets, they both can be found at your local durgstore.
